Just two hours by car from NYC, and a hour and a half by train, the city of brotherly love caters to the artistic set through its various museums, and is a great place for a family weekend trip. These six tickets give your group VIP access to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia getting you in:
- General Admission
- The Butterfly exhibit
- The Special Exhibit (which includes Dinosaurs Around the World through mid-January, then Survival of the Slowest starts in mid-February 2020).
One of the first things you’ll see when you enter the Academy of Natural Sciences is a Tyrannosaurus Rex measuring up to 42 feet in length, one of the largest predators to ever walk the Earth. This impressive animal is one of many dinosaurs and other Mesozoic creatures you’ll encounter in the Dinsours Around the World exhibit. More than 30 species are represented, about half of which are full skeletal mounts.
The Butterflies! exhibit features a lush, tropical garden filled with colorful plants and a multitude of live butterflies from Central and South America, East Africa, and Southeast Asia. The exhibit will usually have between 60 to 150 butterflies and 20 to 40 different species on any given day. If your crew includes kids ages 3–8, then they will definitely want to check out Outside In for an up close and hands-on experience, where they can investigate a forest, visit the seashore, see and touch live animals, and much more. If you make it a two-day trip to Philadelphia, consider making the Please Touch Me Museum your next stop.
Tickets expire Aug 26th, 2020.
