Item Description
This limited edition print, signed and numbered by the artist, was created from his drawing of Tai-O, a part of Hong Kong. Tai-O consisted of homes and stores that were built on bamboo. Life within these bamboo structures was like a little town into itself. The artist saw people working within the structure where they live and raise their children. Perhaps there are no structures elsewhere as unique as these structures made by bamboo poles. The drawing was created from the shore on the opposite part of the inlet where very few people have been.
About the Artist: Richard Gerstman spent his career as an industrial designer, working as an advertising artist and designer in Norway and Sweden before returning to the US. For the past 35 years, he has been drawing wherever he travels, creating a beautiful and impressive portfolio of landscapes from around the world.
Item Special Note
This piece is a serigraph signed and numbered by the artist, Richard Gerstman. It measures 18" x 21" with matte. Shipping and processing fees will be added to the winning bid.
