Item Description
About City Glow from the artist, Peter J. Thornton:
The physical relationship and spacing between these three iconic Providence buildings is what first attracted me to design this print. So different in size and style, I think the buildings capture the diversity of the City’s architecture as well as provide a welcoming, gracious setting for our city center. City Hall was particularly fun to draw with so much detail and that wonderful roofline. Of course I made sure to include Haven Brothers Diner, a fixture of our DownCity scene since 1888 when it was pulled into place each night by horses!
2014
11″w x 15 1/4″h, unframed
limited-edition, signed Gicleé print
The print is matted and framed by Dryden Gallery in Providence. Framed with a slim gold frame, cream mat, with a dark plum mat edging the picture and showing as about 1/8 of an inch border before the cream mat starts.
