Item Description

Included in this package is matted print of a mermaid holding a shell done in blue and brown hues, signed by artist Joan M. Hansen.  This timeless piece would look wonderful in any nautical or fantasy themed room.

There is also a lovely silk scarf done in white with grey circular designs and green edging at the far edges.  The scarf is hand spun, hand loomed, hand woven, hand dyed by indian artists. Silk is an eco-friendly fiber.  It's a natural protein fiber, the best known type being obtained from the cocoons of the larvae of the mulberry silkworm.

A $20.00 gift certificate to Green River Silver Co. is also included in this package.

Established in 1990, Green River Silver Co. is one of Rhode Island's largest importers of fine sterling jewelry from around the world. Owner John Goldman started out traveling to the mountains of Southern Mexico buying handcrafted sterling jewelry direct from the artisans and selling at craft shows, music festivals and corporate events throughout New England, eventually doing up to 90 shows a year. In 1999, John and his younger brother Dan opened their first retail store on Hope Street in Providence. Following their success at that location, they opened their second shop in Wickford Village in the spring of 2002, and a third shop on Hope Street in Bristol in November 2004.

John travels extensively in the US and around the world to bring back unique, handcrafted jewelry. A portion of all sales donated directly to Save the Bay!

Bonnie Clark was an educator with dreams of retiring to live on a farm. That dream became a reality in the mid ’90s after purchasing a beautiful farm with a perfect little shop located right on route 44. Bonnie had an idea to open a store that would serve her community and support local artisans.

After retiring from her teaching career, Bonnie was able to focus on these goals and opened Lightning Ridge Farm. Having had some experience as a beekeeper, she started with selling wholesome locally sourced honey and then expanded to other popular local products from farmer’s markets like farm made salsa and jams. Beautiful vintage jewelry and precious antiques that Bonnie carefully picked out herself soon accompanied the local products available at her store.

With her genuine enjoyment of the company of people, Bonnie has made her store a warm place to visit and many customers enjoy the environment that she creates. Filled with top-quality products, anyone that comes into the store will not only stay for the friendly customer service, but will leave with something that they will surely love. Some customer favorites are the lovely scented bar soap and scrub set as well as fragrant soy wax candles.

Lightning Ridge Farm is located in Chepachet, Rhode Island on route 44. Be sure to drop by and say hi!
