Have you ever tried printmaking? Do you want to try something artistic but not sure what to do? This private printmaking class will help you start thinking creatively and get a result right away unlike traditional printmaking!

This private Class duration: 2.5hs.

In this class, you will explore either paper lithography or monotype. Paper Lithography (Printing from XEROX). This process utilizes photo copies to reproduce the printed word, computer generated type and photo images - as well as Xeroxes of drawings from your sketch book. Simply stated, the Xerox becomes the printing plate. Each photo copy is used only once. Please bring some images to print which can include drawings, photos, poems, etc. No prior printing experience needed. Color Viscosity Monotype printing Using oil colorants, students will create one of a kind prints worked from plastic plates. Explore chine colle, image transfers, multi-plate color registration and ghost impressions. Try drawing with a brayer and/or spontaneous solvent reticulation techniques. Printing inks, solvents and brushes provided - please bring your own oil paints if needed. No previous experience necessary.
