Item Description
This Woven Traditional Zulu Herb Container is new with tags. Vintage 1980s.
This is a woven basket style herb storage vessel native to South Africa. The informational tag is still attached and describes the use of it in tribal medicine.
The lid strings are still attached along with "Handmade in South Africa."
Iqutu or teardrop-shaped style. It has a tight weave with tan and various colors of brown in a triangular design.
This is a fine depiction of African woven art and would make a great addition to a display. Use it to remind you of places far away that need our generosity in order to live to an educated potential.
Writers love such things when creating new stories and educators appreciate such props to inspire ideas.
