Item Description
Bring your child's class (or any group of up to 20) to learn about the magical material of glass on a weekend afternoon at UrbanGlass, a nonprofit art center in Brooklyn, New York. An exclusive tour of the leading resource for artists and designers looking to create with glass will be followed by an hour-long artist demonstration where objects will be created in consultation with your group.
Experience includes:
- A behind-the-scenes tour of the 17,000-square-foot studios and galleries led by MCS parent and GLASS magazine editor Andrew Page
- An hour-long demonstration in the state-of-the-art glass hot-shop, where the group collaboratively designs their own glass creature that will be fabricated in real-time
- Delivery of said glass creature to Manhattan Country School, or you can pick up the finished work after it is properly annealed.
