Item Description
Rose of Sharon Bush- local area only
Locally grown (Virginia) Rose of Sharon Bush
This bush produces a beautiful flower that is lavender to purple in color. Picture is just an example of the flower.
I have fond memories of the Rose of Sharon. My grandmother took my picture in front of her bush when I was about 13. I used that photo when I submitted the application to be in the Shenandoah County Fair Beauty Pageant. I was delighted to earn a spot in my first beauty pageant. My family was even happier when I won the best trophy of all, Miss Congeniality. It is a sweet memory that comes back everytime I see this flower!
Donated by a local educator who works with children everyday and believes in the power an education can provide.
You will get the entire bush- not shippable we will bring to our pickup location in Harrisonburg or Woodstock.
When Should Rose of Sharon be transplanted?
Fall, after the dormancy period begins, is the best time to replant a rose of Sharon shrub. Planting in the fall, gives the shrub the whole winter and early spring to establish a healthy and extensive root system before the main growing season. Though fall is best, it is not critical to move the shrub at that time.
