VPV PHOTOGRAPHY & COASTERS is in it's 4th year of business. During their first year, they sold only prints and canvases at the New England Open Markets, then in their second season they introduced handmade coasters and their business took off! They sold over 10,000 coasters last season at the SOWA and Greenway Market in Boston from May - Dec. This year they are looking to sell over 30,000 coasters! They are now in several stores in the New England area, and still do all of the big outdoor and holiday shows in the Boston area.
Every year they introduce new coasters. Each coaster's photographic image comes only from their camera and is copyrighted in their name. Each coaster is signed and editioned, therefore doubling as a piece of art. What separates them apart from everyone else doing photo coasters? Their crackled finish.
In 2018 they will be introducing their third edition coaster. It's the best yet! The printing is museum quality, so the image will NOT FADE even if you leave it in direct sunlight all summer. The crackle finish is deeper than their previous coasters, and their greatest improvement, is they can actually get the crackle to follow the lines in the photo creating a hologram like image hidden inside the crackle, giving the overall coaster a 3-D appearance.
The gold writing located at the bottom of each coaster is the edition number, and in the bottom right is the place where the photo was taken. The textured lines you see in some of the photos is the original waterproof coating they use that gives the coaster a weathered appearance. Although, when tilted away from the light, the coaster looks as clear as glass.
The coasters are completely waterproof and can handle any hot or cold drink. This is not a hot plate. Drinks only please.

Coasters may be picked up at the Malden YMCA or mailed to the winner.
The Malden YMCA will mail any letter/package up to the USPS base rate of $6.65. The Malden YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen property once it leaves the building.
