Lama Tharchin Rinpoche gives practical advice for how we can use our own dying process on our path to liberation and how we can help others through that process as well. Rinpoche teaches extensively about the bardo experience and how we can use multiple opportunities to recognize our true nature and gain liberation. Rinpoche includes explanations of the Vajrasattva Tro-Me Ro-Sek (Ritual for an Unelaborate Cremation) and other practices.
The prayers and texts used in this teaching can be found as downloads on our website or through Dharma Treasures store: www.dharmatreasures.com. These include “Longchenpa’s Aspiration Prayer (Always, from rebirth to rebirth…),” “A Concise Scripture that Brings Liberation Upon Contact,” and the “Vajrasattva Abbreviated Daily Practice and Ro-Sek Cremation Ritual” (Bero Jeydren Publications, 2010). For a comprehensive collection of prayers and practices, see “Vajrasattva Meditation Ritual, Ritual to Guide the Dead, and Additional Practices” by H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche (Bero Jeydren Publications, 2013). Although Lama Tharchin Rinpoche gave permission for anyone to use these texts, he strongly recommended receiving the oral transmission (rlung) from a qualified lineage holder, as well.
