Item Description

Experiece South of the Border cooking by learning to cook Mexican food with Chef Gina Pacheco. The auction winner and two friends will be guided in your kitchen on a mutually agreed date to cook and prepare a meal for six people. Menu will be chosen by the winner from three possible ones. All the ingredients for the meal are included. Wine pairings and other alcoholic beverages are not.

Chef Gina's bio:

My life revolves around food. I was director and host of “La Cocina de Gina”, which aired in Unicable and Galavision. We shot over 100 episodes and reached many countries, thousands of homes to be able to share my passion for cooking. 

I am part of the chef's council of CCD Innovation, where we create, sample and develop new products for different companies.

Before Unicable, I spent five years as a producer and host of “A la Cocina con Gina," a weekly cooking segment from Univision Los Angeles. We recorded about 220 segments and, just like in my show with Unicable, I shared easy and delicious recipes. I published a book with this recipes in Spanish, still available on Amazon.

Also in Los Angeles, I had a catering business in where I served haute Mexican cuisine, and a radio show with Unividion Radio.

In Mexico City I worked as Executive Chef at the restaurant Il Posto, where I was responsible for creating the menu, start the restaurant, manage the kitchen, train personnel, implement operations and production manuals.

I went to Culinary School in Mexico City, where I was born and raised and exposed to the marvelous Mexican Cuisine. After finishing school I did some catering before coming to the US to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, where I specialized in ingredient and cooking techniques, dynamic flavors, and wine pairings.
