Your $500 'paddle raise" helps to brings Act Up and Vote! to a school or organization, impacting anywhere from 100 to 250 students per performance!
Youth Underground, our award-winning education program- a socio-economically, culturally, and ethnically diverse ensemble of young people ages 13-25.
Youth Underground members:
- Create theater about social justice and civic responsibility
- Tour to schools and community organizations across Greater Boston - serving up to 2000 intergenerational audiences annually
- Activate change as emerging opinion leaders in our communities
The YU current play is Act Up and Vote!, created from the voices of youth in our community, as well as their families, teachers, political leaders, and personal heroes. The play shares their stories, debates about whether their votes matter, and highlights their work to make a better world. We had to postpone our Spring tour and Festival. But, with your help--we can ensure that Youth Underground is ready to take the stage once again in October 2020.
