Item Description
In 2015 during a trip to Warsaw, Poland, with my brother, I gave a presentation about the labyrinth to a group there. My records of the event have been lost in a computer crash, so names escape me. The artist of this outstanding batik of the Chartres labyrinth gave me this work as a gift (photo). I can’t even begin to understand the amount of work this took to make. I have it temporarily mounted on a piece of foam core board. It could be properly framed or made into something else (or left the way it is). Shipping is included.
Item Special Note
I am not interested in giving away my valuable labyrinth art for some piddling low bid. I would like TLS to benefit, or I will choose to keep the work. I reserve the right to withdraw this item if the bid is not sufficient.
Note to artists: As part of my retirement process, I am downsizing. It seems to me that your work of art should have a new life in a new household where it can be properly appreciated. If it became part of my estate, who knows what fate it might meet. Think Goodwill.
I have loved these works and deeply appreciate the sentiment behind them, whether as a gift or a purchase. If you see your work (or gift) in this auction and you would rather have me return it to you, please send me an email (robert at robertferre dot com) and I will make the appropriate arrangements.
