Item Description
Title: Every Need Brings What's Needed, 7 x 10.
Does not include a frame.
Description: Every Need Brings What's Needed is a pastel, watercolor and colored pencil sketch on multimedia paper. The title is derived from a line in Rumi’s poem, “Joy At Sudden Disappointment,” which meditates on the human response to crisis. Artwork is varnished and packaged in an archival sleeve with my signature on the back.
Melissa Wang is our current artist-in-resident at Pond Farm Pottery.
Melissa is a self-taught artist. She studied writing at the University of California, San Diego and received her M.A. in English from the University of California, Davis. She taught and researched literature as a PhD candidate at UC Davis before segueing into tech, where she designed visual content for companies like Facebook and Google. Since 2017, she has participated in shows throughout the U.S. Her artwork can be found in private and corporate collections. Currently, she is a studio artist at Root Division in San Francisco and will attend the Pond Farm residency in July 2020.
