Item Description
Eliot Daley founded the country’s first professional consulting firm to provide highest-level strategy for those engaged in philanthropy. The goal of his firm: ensure that the donations produced the most possible social-benefit bang for the buck while returning the biggest bang of gratification to the donors in their efforts to do good. His clients included the Bingham/Blossom family foundation of Cleveland, the billionaire founder of Carnival Cruise Lines Ted Arison, and major corporations like AT&T.
Eliot’s goal is to help his clients identify the realm of beneficial change that has the deepest meaning to them, and then find or create the most impactful vehicle for expressing that. His experience ranges from restructuring traditional giving programs, to creating new 501(c)(3) entities tailored to the donor’s goals, to development of “venture philanthropy” initiatives.
For this auction item, Eliot is offering four hours of consultation with the principal(s) of a philanthropic initiative that might benefit from having a “thinking partner” and independent perspective during these times of rapid change. The consultation might be structured as a half-day, or perhaps several shorter engagements. If appropriate, Zoom consultation(s) might be employed.
