Title: Diamond in the Rough
Artist: Donna Caselden
Materials: Bass is 3ft x 1.5ft and made of .5in Kleer (PVC). Acrylic paint, latex house paint, crushed glass, epoxy, fishhook and a crystal from a vintage chandelier.
Artist's Description: “Diamond in the Rough” is a compilation of small and large pieces of crushed glass, adhered to simulate a fish’s scales while meandering through the seas. He seems to have been caught by a fisherman, as visible through the crystal lure and fishhook in his mouth.
About the Artist: Donna Caselden is a well-known talent across the spectrum of visual design. An award-winning experimental artist and clothing designer, Caselden also works one-on-one with clients on interior design and home décor projects.
Caselden works from her studio in the seaside village of Annisquam, Massachusetts. Her works are showcased in museums, galleries and private collections throughout the United States, including the highly regarded Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) in Salem, Massachusetts.
As a painter, Caselden has won acclaim for her work with acrylic and oil paint and is known for her experimental 2D artwork, incorporating unusual substances like marble dust, mica or sand to achieve unique texture and effects.
Donna Caselden is a board member of Cape Ann’s Experimental Art Group at Rockport Art Association, as well as a member of Society for Encouragement of Arts (seARTS), Rocky Neck Cultural Center, Boston’s Fort Points Art Community, the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), and a Master Artist of Newburyport Art Association. She has gallery representation at Gallery on Jarves in Sandwich, Massachusetts and Charles Fine Arts in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
She is available for workshops and presentations to share her experience and expertise in the creative design process.

Winner will pay an additional $10 processing fee on top of winning bid. Item can be picked up in Beverly, MA, or we can arrange for shipping to be paid at Buyer’s expense. We will get in touch with the winning bidder after the auction closes to arrange for pickup/delivery in Beverly. Weighted stands available separately for $45. Please note - the back of the Bass has drill marks from the mounting hardware used during the outdoor exhibit.
