Item Description
Title: Let’s Sea
Artist: Laurie Brzezowski
Materials: Bass is 3ft x 1.5ft and made of .5in Kleer (PVC). Acrylic paint, EVA foam and glass.
Artist's Description: My Bass in the Grass, entitled Let's Sea, is inspired by the sea life that thrives in our local waters. Our local beaches are a haven of beauty and respite. I have fond memories of my girls at the beach, collecting periwinkle shells and spying fiddler crabs in the rocks. Now the shore is my quiet place, to walk, relax and swim. It renews me! In my Bass, I’ve layered soft, loose renderings of familiar seaweed along with blue monochrome renderings of sea life of the Northern Atlantic shores. They all sit on a soft background graphic to evoke the sea’s movement.
About the Artist: Laurie Brzezowski is a product designer and owner of BRZEZOWSKI DESIGN. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and studied at the NY Experimental Glass Workshop. Laurie has run her business out of NYC and Beverly, MA for more years than she can believe! For the past four years, Laurie headed up the design team for a home decor company, which gave her the opportunity to travel to many parts of Asia and Europe to work directly with factories and clients. The experience renewed her creative energy, and now Laurie is excited to create through her own company again. Laurie also spends time painting and creating in many mediums.
