Item Description
About the Artist:
Emily Bacall has been designing jewelry for over 9 years, at her studio in the Button Factory in Portsmouth, NH.
From the Artist
I am a mother of three young girls. In an effort to find them a hobby a few years ago, I signed us up for a beading class and was immediately taken with jewelry making -- they were not. As a college student, I studied both studio art and art history in the US and France. At that time I was particularly drawn to printmaking - etching and silk screening, but found these difficult mediums to continue working with outside a university setting. I have found beading and wire-work to be wonderfully versatile and I really enjoy the idea of wearable art. Therefore, my mission is to produce wearable art using high quality elements which, when brought together create unique and exceptional pieces of jewelry. Each piece is handcrafted and designed to reflect a casual elegance and natural beauty.
