Scale:  1:24

Die Cast by Franklin Mint. Previously owned Franklin Mint model car. #6 Including certification documentation.

This model represents the 1937 Cord Model 812 made by the Auburn automobile Co. Auburn, Indiana, USA, which made Cords for a short time between 1929-1931 and 1935-1937. The car was designed by the Auburn Speedster designer, Gordon M. Buerig, and was chosen as one of the finest eight examples of industrial design and automotive art by the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The car had numerous innovations including a step-down floor to increase passenger room and concealed headlights. It is said to have featured a number of 'firsts' including the placement of the horn on the steering wheel, full hubcaps with cooling holes, and was the first front-wheel-drive mass-produced car. This Franklin Mint model features moulded seats, a carpeted floor, detailed engine and a removable convertible top. It includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
