“Let’s Raise a Glass” to iconic lighting designer Jules Fisher, who has illuminated more than 100 Broadway plays and musicals. His multitudes of main stem credits include the original productions of La Cage aux Folles, Angels in America and Ragtime. Fisher has won nine Tony Awards over the course of his celebrated career. Having made his Broadway debut with Spoonriver Anthology in 1973, Fisher won his fourth Tony Award for the 1990 Broadway mounting of Grand Hotel.
Running for a remarkable 1,017 performances, Grand Hotel was nominated for 12 Tony Awards. The production garnered five statuettes, including those for direction, choreography, featured actor, costume design and this award for Fisher’s lighting design.
