Item Description
A rivalry that was fierce on the course between two great golfers that were seemingly very different in nearly every way slowly became a lifelong friendship. Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer were winners with personality and crowd appeal. The 1962 US Open saw a rookie Jack Nicklaus edge out the veteran Palmer in a playoff, beginning their back and forth battles. Many remember the two golfers as key members in the Big 3 with Gary Player, chosen to be Masters Starters for many years. This oversized frame piece contains the nameplate that reads "The Rivalry Begins - The King Pays Up - Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer." It measures an impressive 22" x 29 1/2."
