Completed long before Covid-19 arrived, this was once a light little painting about anticipation and longing. Today it seems layered with a sense of isolation and small bursts of frustration as well. It reminds me that art is always a conversation. When the viewer changes, so does the art.
Artist Biography: Care Hanson
Care Hanson’s art exploration encompasses painting, mixed media collage, simple stitching and photography. She operates from an intuitive spirit of ‘just try’ and finds the variety in medium and scale keeps the work fresh.
Care’s a Cleveland native & longtime resident of Stow, with a BFA from BGSU. She is always grateful to be chosen to exhibit at Summit Artspace.
