Item Description

Copper Wire and Glass, 3  individual pieces #1 - 6in. X 18 in., #2- 4 1/2 in. X 10 1/2 in., #3 - 3 1/2 in. X 9 in.

by Jennifer Worden

This piece was created during the 2020 stay at home order in Ohio. I was inspired by the idea of creating a protective layer around the glass disks while restricted to working with materials that I had on hand.

Artist Biography: Jennifer Worden

Jennifer Worden was raised in Northern California and has called Akron, OH home since 1999. She is a self-taught artist who works in the medium of warm glass. Jennifer uses post-consumer glassware in the creation of her art. Conferring a new, unexpected life to bottles, jars and discarded dishware is the inspiration that makes this work possible. She melts, fuses and reshapes glass, and employs other upcycled materials wherever possible, to create utterly unique pieces designed to please the eye, engage the mind and encourage a sustainable perspective.
