Item Description
From Lace & Pearls to a Turquoise Guitar pick, Tumbled Gemstone Chips, Abalone, and a Poured Acrylic Splash Back Design, GITC Special Educator Val Simons created this art guitar to bring beauty to any space. She created a new life to this upcycled and salvaged acoustic guitar. Perfect on a wall where everyone can enjoy the detail, it can add light and interest to a home or create eye-catching wall art in a commercial establishment.
Val helped GITC create our AMAISE Program- Adaptive Music for Achievement in Inclusion and Special Education. Together with founder Jess Baron, she engineered ways of teaching music to students with a very wide range of exceptionalities in her grade 4-5 Mod-Severe classroom. Several of Val's interventions are now being taught and shared with students around the U.S. Her long experience in the arts finds new expression through her unique art guitar.
This Harmony Hummingbird tells the story of what happened when hummingbirds built their nest and had their babies right outside her front door. Magic! Please enjoy this smilebox she made to show her artistic process
