Item Description

Meet via Zoom for 40-min with Donna about her three books, "Henry David Thoreau; Author, Philosopher, Naturalist", "Henry David Thoreau, Who Can He Be?" and "Born in the Nick of Time". You will also win a signed copy of all three books!

"Henry David Thoreau, Who Can He Be?" This picture book has engaging and vibrant illustrations that walk children through the A, B, C's with simple rhyme as they learn about this American author. It is especially fitting to introduce him to children, so he can encourage them to partake in the joy of simple things, just as he had done with the children of his day. This book was used as a story walk at Walden Pond Reservation during the Thoreau Bicentennial in the summer of 2017. Written and Illustrated by Donna Marie Przybojewski. Streamline Publishing, 2016. Hardcover. 32 pp. Henry David Thoreau Discussion Coloring Book introduces children to the life of Henry David Thoreau. It has interactive questions for the children as well as a space for their own illustrations.

"Henry David Thoreau Author, Philosopher, Naturalist Discussion Starter Coloring Book" introduces children to the life of Henry David Thoreau. It has interactive questions for the children as well as a space for their own illustrations.

"Born in the Nick of Time" is also a discussion coloring book that extends the introduction to Thoreau for children by introducing them to important individuals in his life.

Books will be inscribed. Zoom session can be the author/illustrator coloring and talking with children about Thoreau. Also, the zoom session could be a discussion with an adult about the ways these books have been used in teaching Thoreau to junior high students and how the author (who is a junior high teacher) utilized them to improve critical thinking and writing skills to her 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. The zoom session could also be a conversation of the author's journey in writing the children's books.

Item Special Note
