Item Description
From the early 1920's. a beautiful wood upright piano with a painted purple piano bench and sheet music. It has a great old timey sound, and could use a tuning. It's been in storage for quite a while. The Lester Piano Co. was established in 1888 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The firm manufactured upright and grand pianos under different brands, including: Lester, Alden, Gounod, Leonard & Co., Schilling & Sons (with distribution in New York) prior to the 1920s. The Lester Piano Co. finally went out of business in 1960, and Lester pianos are no longer in production.
