Item Description
Cristina Hobbs is a painter and potter living in Sebastopol, California. Her work is inspired by northern California nature and observations of the every day that at times go un-noticed; a celebration of the little things you see that stay in the back of your mind. The colors, patterns and even a feel of weather are translated in abstract forms. She hand builds tableware and sculptural objects in small scale. There is an overlap between her ceramics and paintings; textures, patterns painted or carved and a shared color palette. Both practices inform one another in a deep way.
Her ceramics are small production and imperfect. You will find her hand in each piece.
