Item Description

The large fiesta teapot, with its outstanding round handle, stands out as one of the largest pieces of fiesta holloware pottery. The teapot was slip cast in two halves, with the ring handle included in the mold. The final would be hand-applied to the lid and the steam hole was also hand drilled. The large teapot is a favorite among collectors with its famous ring handle. Made for a short time they are becoming harder to find in excellent condition. This example in red has a wonderful glaze. Measures 6 11/16" h x 9 1/4" wide from spout tip to back of the handle. Marked in the mold "HCL fiesta MADE IN USA".

The Vintage Fiesta sauce boat measures nearly 8" from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. It's got a nice little belly on it too, that puffs out just before tapering off into the concentric ringed foot. The design is superb and really showcases pottery designer Frederick Rheads vision. The original version is slip cast with an in mold mark "HLC USA" or "MADE IN USA" and the finished holloware would have been smoothed by hand, dipped in bold glaze, the foot wiped dry, and fired.
