Story:

"The Crompton family has commissioned portraits for many years, calling on famed painter Alexander Miller (Hal Holbrook). When Lee Crompton (Jamey Sheridan) requests Miller's services though, the artist sends his talented daughter, Alix (Janine Turner), instead. Unfortunately for Alix, Lee is a tough subject—facially deformed for most of his adult life. But when Lee lets his guard down, the pair makes great progress towards a finished project...and a wonderful friendship."

Reviews:

"This is a beautiful movie and so refreshing when compared with much of the bilge that passes for entertainment today. It is a love story with a happy ending — clean and uplifting. The chemistry between the actors is superb. I have searched for it since seeing it on television several years ago. I am so happy to have found it at last."

"So happy to finally have this movie. Searched years for it. I love this movie."
