Your ‘French Experience' is situated in the village of Fontanès, in the South of France. You are certain to appreciate the peaceful setting and lovely large garden of your home for seven nights!
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your hosts Anne and Yves-Andre to a delightful one-week stay in their large rustic home with your own private room (one double bed) and private bath. Plan your day's outing over a leisurely breakfast every morning overlooking the tranquil garden.
Enjoy gentle and beautiful drives through the French countryside, taking in the extraordinary views of vineyards and old villages along your way. (see video https://youtu.be/f1VggFI4Sgg). Visit the local boulangerie for your fresh bread, croissants and coffee, perhaps lunch or dinner in an intimate Bistro, usually family-owned restaurants that serve traditional fare and French local wines. And certainly a stop at a local café for a glass of wine or a Pastis, an anise-flavoured spirit and apéritif traditionally enjoyed in the South of France before dinner.
This is a truly unique once in a lifetime opportunity to live with a French family and experience every day living in the rural rustic French countryside.
The village of Fontanès is conveniently located, only 40 minutes by car from the Mediterranean Sea, 30 minutes from the Cevennes, 40 minutes from the cities of Nîmes and Montpellier and a 10 minute drive from the medieval town of Sommières. Local attractions include: Pont du Gard (2,000 year old Roman Aqueduct) Medieval towns, Chateaus, Roman Amphitheaters (Nimes & Arles), Weekly Open-Air Markets, Museums, Theaters, and Nature Walks & Hiking!
Your hosts are Anne, (56 years) and Yves-André, (69 years). Anne can be of assistance in helping you plan your day trips with recommendations of restaurants, markets and nearby attractions!
Item Special Note
The dates of the stay will have to be scheduled together with your hosts, apart from the holiday periods and the summer vacations when Anne & Yves-André receive their family.
Stay must be used by the end of October 2022.
