Item Description
28 ½” by 38” weaving showing a traditional terraced “snowflake” diamond in the center, woven with Churro wool, the finest on the Navajo Reservation. There is also a thin “Spirit Line” present in the upper corner of the rug where the weaver graciously and allegorically exited, leaving a line for the new owner to enter the weaving. The red dye is aniline and the white and two gray wools are carded and natural. The appraisal of value is provided by Terry DeWald, a member of the Antique Tribal Art Dealers Association.
