Item Description
This mother of pearl pendant is in a very unusual shape. Not round, not square, oval or diamond, but an irregular shape--maybe of the artist's own device, due to the shape of the shell that was the canvas. The scene appears to be five women performing some task, perhaps cooking, in an outdoor landscape. All this happens on a 2" wide at the widest point and 1 3/4" high at the highest point. The age or origin of the pendant is not known, but its tiny details are amazing to behold.
Condition is excellent. There is no chain. Reverse is unpainted mother of pearl.
