Item Description
The stunning image of Grandpa Cottonwood symbolizes the generational presence of grandparents globally, and the love they share with their grandchildren. According to this artist, the love and joy of grand-parenting are indescribable blessings from God.
Grandpa Cottonwood was handcarved in 2019 by the artist from the bark of a cottonwood tree that had fallen in Erie, Pennsylvania. Several coats of liquid plastic were used to provide a hard finish for this product.
Note: The carving is separate from the frame and could be hung independently. The frame is included.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
The artist is a Vietnam Veteran with the 173rd Airborne Brigade and Professor Emeritus, Penn State University, College of Education, g'78. The artist is also a graduate of Norfolk State University, '69 and Hampton University, g'74 respectively. His artwork has been displayed at several colleges and universities throughout the United States and internationally in Cuenca, Ecuador. He is a member of the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania.
