About: Laurel Carnahan - Raven Moon Studio
"My name is Laurel Carnahan, and I am Printmaker and Collage artist.
My primary medium is handmade silk-paper collage. Silk paper (also called silk fusion) is made by dying and fusing raw silk fiber to form sheets of fabric-like paper. I then cut and layer these iridescent papers to form my images, then draw back into them and add various other materials, such as wood and shell inlay, bead work, and gold leaf, to form intricate mixed media collages.
Giclee’ prints are sometimes created from my finished collages, allowing multiple copies. I also do a very limited number of block prints, called collagraphs, that are hand-printed and hand-colored."
About: "House at Pooh Corner" by A.A. Miln
The House at Pooh Corner (1928) is the second volume of stories about Winnie-the-Pooh, written by A. A. Milne and illustrated by E. H. Shepard. It is notable for the introduction of the character Tigger.
About: "The 3 Snow Bears" by Jan Brett
The Goldilocks story takes a fine twist when an endearing snow bear family and a curious Inuit girl meet center stage in Jan Brett's stunning paintings of a land where the Inuits and the animals share the amazing Arctic landscape.
When Aloo-ki loses her sled dogs, her search for them leads her to an igloo. She can't resist peeking inside...and then she can't resist the smell of something delicious...
