Item Description
When you are high bidder on this bronze, you are commemorated as a "Raptor Champion"! For your amazing support you will have your name placed on an engraved plaque and it will stay with you for the year to come to display with pride for the love of raptors. Each year this beautiful sculpture is bid on, so you can defend you "Raptor Champion" title again at the Annual Gala & Auction. We have been doing this for 6 years running and you can be the third recipient. Jill and Ross Cunniff had it for 5 years running!
Created by Bronze artist Chuck Weaver, this stylized raptor is a must have for you to proudly display your continual support for the mission of the RMRP.
About: Chuck Weaver
Chuck Weaver (1939-2015) was an accomplished bronze artist who loved nature, and captured the beauty of the eagle in this unique piece. A large version of this bronze was on display in Old Town, FC for an extended time and now resides in Brighton, CO. The remaining 3 full size versions are now owned by municipalities. Upon his passing in late 2015, this miniature bronze 'Raptoround' was donated to the RMRP by Chuck's wife Dee Weaver to assist our fundraising efforts.
In his work you will find that his interpretation of the human form, as well as various animals, often combines specific details of anatomy, movement or expression with an imaginative quality, which blends the traditional and the abstract to achieve his desired composition.
