3 Bottles of Riesling
2 Bottles of Schloss Gobelsburg Schlosskellerei Gobelsburg Kamptal Riesling 2020 -
Beguiling bouquet à la vineyard peach and Gravenstein. Streamlined and playful. Quite powerful on the palate with generous extract and balance, and completed by crisp acidity. Very good length. This deserves a special accolade as an optimal light-style Riesling.
2020 Dr. Loosen Blue Slate Kabinett Riesling
This classic Mosel Kabinett is harvested from higher-elevation parcels owned by Dr. Loosen in the villages of Bernkastel, Graach and Wehlen. The wine is bright and pure with the vibrant white peach fruit and a floral, flinty minerality that is so typical from blue slate. A plush attack on the mid-palate leads to a deliciously firm, delicate finish. This wine makes an elegant aperitif and is an excellent match for seafood, spicy Asian cuisine and lighter dishes.
The 2020 Mosel harvest was the earliest ever recorded, but this we also had an early budbreak and flowering, so the development period for the grapes was still within the ideal target range. The harvest was characterized by good yields, healthy fruit at the beginning of harvest, and very good quality. As the harvest progressed we were able to produce an excellent range of dry wines, as well as wines from every Prädikat level, from Kabinett to Trockenbeerenauslese.
2 Bottles of 2020 Moulin Jamet Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc
Pale green-yellow color. Intense vegetal and citrus aromas on the nose. An unctuous, yet powerful, palate. The intense gooseberry flavors are complimented by a long lasting finale!
Great to enjoy as an apéritif. Goes very well with oysters or lobster but excellent with goat cheeses from the Loire Valley (Crottin de Chavignol, Selles sur Cher, Sainte Maure de Touraine).
2019 St. Supery Dollarhide Sauvignon Blanc
In the glass, the wine presents with vibrant yellow and green hues. Intense aromas of pink grapefruit and kiwi are met with a hint of pear and anise, balanced with seductive toasted oak char. Rich flavors of kiwi, lime and grapefruit zest on the palate combine while the toasted qualities of the barrel maturation have encouraged a full, rich mouthfeel with a subtle creaminess from sur-lie maturation.
2021 Matua Sauvignon Blanc
At Matua, Sauvignon Blanc is pretty special. That's because back in 1974, they produced NZ's very first Sauvignon Blanc. 10 years later, they were making it in Marlborough. Now, Marlborough Sauvy is world famous for its unique, fresh flavors. For this wine, we've chosen grapes from across Marlborough, giving you the best crisp and tropical flavors Marlborough has to offer all in one sip!
Drink it with lemon and prawn risotto or a cheese platter.
