Item Description

Celebrate the return of August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Piano Lesson with tickets to the opening night performance and a Playbill signed by the cast.

The Piano Lesson follows the Charles family and a precious family heirloom. It is the fourth play in Wilson's The Pittsburgh Cycle (also referred to as the Century Cycle), a collection of 10 plays, each set in a different decade, that take place in Pittsburgh.

The Tony-nominated play made its Broadway debut in 1990, having its first production three years earlier at Yale Repertory Theatre. The Yale cast featured Samuel L. Jackson as Boy Willie, who now returns to the piece as Doaker Charles. LaTanya Richardson Jackson makes her Broadway debut as the revival'ss director, the first woman to helm a Wilson play on Broadway.

This package includes:

  • Two tickets to see The Piano Lesson at Broadway's Ethel Barrymore Theatre on its opening night, scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2022
  • An opening night Playbill signed by the cast
