Item Description
This swankified item will certainly make you popular. "Popular" is a spirited and spunky tune sung by Glinda to Elphaba in Wicked's first act as Glinda gives Elphaba a makeover. The Tony Award-nominated musical tells the story of what happened before Dorothy dropped in to Oz, when Glinda (the Good Witch) and Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) attended Shiz University together.
Premiering on Broadway in 2003, Wicked is currently the fifth longest-running show in Broadway history. The musical phrase is handwritten and signed by Oscar winner Stephen Schwartz, whose work also includes Godspell, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pippin and Pocohontas.
