Item Description
The incomparable Meryl Streep is often described as "the greatest actress of her generation." Her career spanning more than four decades has been praised by critics and audiences alike, leading to a record 21 Oscar nominations and three wins, plus a record 32 Golden Globe nominations and eight wins. While she is well-known for her work on screen, she has roots in theater. She made her Broadway debut in Trelawny of the "Wells" in 1975, going on to receive a Tony nomination for her performances in A Memory of Two Mondays/27 Wagons Full of Cotton.
Happy End was her last appearance on Broadway, a musical play by Kurt Weill, Elisabeth Hauptmann and Bertolt Brecht that ran for 75 performances in 1977. You can take home an original Playbill from Happy End, signed by Streep herself.
