Item Description
This listing is good for one youth 1:1 one hour dance lesson at Dancin' With Roxie in Clear Lake w/Miss Mia DeVries.
Work on technique, your favorite dance style, dancer development, tryout prep, or anything else dance related during this one-on-one dance lesson. Private dance lessons are a great way to build your skill set in a comfortable, personalized setting.
About the instructor: Miss Mia is an accomplished dancer and Dancin' with Roxie alumni. Having studied with the studio since toddlerhood, she is well versed in all mainstream dance styles. During Mia's time as a student at DWR, she competed and won many awards and honors. Throughout her middle school and high school years she competed with the DWR Prestige All-Star team, winning several national championships at NDA All-Star nationals. The team received several bids to The Dance Worlds in Orlando, Florida and consistently recieved top level placements. Mia also won several team state championships with the Clear Lake High School Dance Team, including several triple crown achievements, a national championship, and was crowned the Class VI Solo State Champion her senior year.
Mia is currently a freshman at Iowa State University, studying pre-dentistry and business management. She is a proud member of the reigning national and world champion, Iowa State Dance Team. When she's not studying and dancing you can find her volunteering within the community and teaching at DWR Ankeny. Mia will be teaching summer classes in Clear Lake in 2023.
Item Special Note
This one-on-one lesson must be scheduled between June and July of 2023. It is subject to private lesson schedule availability for ages preschool through high school seniors. The dancer redeeming the certificate for this lesson need not be a currently enrolled DWR student.
