Item Description
Alexis Lawton-Lewis is a Teen Mentor for Girls' LEAP and a senior at Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter Public School. She describes this painting below.
"This piece is about the loneliness and stress that comes when trying to figure out what’s next. The person in the center is in a daze being weighed down by her ideas. The blended color background represents multiple emotions mixing together into nothingness. Meanwhile the shaved head is an artistic choice to showcase a new beginning since hair is often associated with history in the Black community and the lack of clothing represents vulnerability."
Item Special Note
This original painting comes on a canvas size 16"x20"
