Item Description
Peach Tilt Teapot - one of a kind wheel thrown and hand built ceramic teapot made by nationally renowned artist Tom Hubert.
This beautiful sculpture features Tom's unique style of ceramics with multi-fired layers of underglazes and clear coat. The piece measures (approximately).
Tom is a lifelong resident of Erie County, Pa. He received his BA in Art Education at Mercyhurst University and his MFA in Ceramics and Ceramic Sculpture with a Minor in Photography from the School for the American Craftsman at Rochester Institute of Technology. Tom was named Professor Emeritus at Mercyhurst University after retiring in 2020 as Professor of Art having taught art there for 40 years. He was also Chair of the Art Department for 15 of those years. His resume includes 20 awards in national and regional exhibitions including the Pennsylvania Council of Arts Grant and a National Endowment for the Arts/Mid-Atlantic Art Foundation Regional Fellowship.
