Item Description

Three Punk/Rock CD's: "Bad Brains;" MC5 "Babes in Arms;" New York Dolls "Lipstick Killers"

Legendary hardcore-punk album from 1982, "Bad Brains" is considered the definitive landmark for breaking the NYC hardcore scene. All material on this CD was recorded at 171-A Studios, NYC, during August, September, and October 1981, except "Pay to Cum," "I Luv I Jah," "Jah Clling Dub" recorded live at 171-A on May 16, 1981. Liner Notes by Ira Kaplan. With Lyrics.

Classic early MC5 material recorded between 1966-1971. Re-mastered for cd includes rare out-takes, personal demos, mixes, uncensored versions, remixes...Historic. 15 Tracks performed with unrelenting passion and fury ripe for that time period. This is the real thing. Liner Notes by Mick Farren and an epilogue by John Sinclair. Includes: Kick Out The Jams, Sister Ann, Poison, American Ruse, Shaking Street & more.

'Lipstick Killers' was originally recorded in 1972 and features the original line-up of the New York Dolls, David Johansen, Johnny Thunders, Sylvain Sylvain, Arthur 'Killer' Kane and Billy Murcia. The band was only 4 and 1/2 months old, and just beginning to build it's legendary reputation. This first session captures them raw, wild, and crude, with no studio trickery to tone them down. 9 tracks including 'Bad Girl', 'Personality Crisis', 'Don't Start Me Talking' and more on 2000 Roir release.
