Item Description
Retreat to rural New Hampshire in order to enjoy a weekend of practice at Aryaloka Buddhist Center. The center, located on 13 secluded acres in Newmarket, features meditation hall, common areas, and residential and day retreat facilities. Locations for solitary retreats are also available. Aryaloka will serve as your host for a weekend dharma or meditation retreat of your choice (yoga-and-meditation retreats excluded).
The successful bidder will choose from among the 2010 weekend retreat offerings; program offerings are published semi-annually. Accommodation is shared and all meals, bedding and towels are provided. Participants need only bring comfortable indoor and outdoor clothing and personal care items.
Aryaloka is a member of Friends of the Western Buddhist Order (FWBO) is an international network of public centers, communities and projects linked to the Buddhist tradition through founder Urgyen Sangharakshita. The center's own mission is "to create the best possible conditions in which to explore and practice the Buddhist path." A bid on this item will give you a taste of that experience.
