Item Description

A pass for four persons to a behind-the-scenes tour of the basement, full-house tour and third floor of the beautiful Daly Mansion in Hamilton, Montana.   Along with this tour, enjoy lunch on the dining room veranda, and one copy of a book "The Original Man: The Life and Work of Montana Architect A.J. Gibson."

The mansion was built in the late 1800s and remodeled in the early 1900s. As the summer home of Copper Baron and millionaire Marcus Daly, his wife Margaret and their four children it evolved from a two-story farmhouse into a 24,000 square foot mansion with 25 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, and 7 fireplaces on 45 acres in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley. The home was named Riverside for its proximity to the Bitterroot River and served to entertain guests. Foreign plants, a swimming pool and a play house were all added to Riverside after the Dalys' arrival. Today the mansion still entertains guests from all around the country - whether it is tours, weddings or just relaxing on the covered deck and playing checkers. Riverside remains an amazing, historic get away for all ages.
