Item Description

A driving tour of the Springs of Southern Virginia and West Virginia.  To include The Greenbrier at White Sulphur Springs, Sweet Springs and Salt Sulphur Springs in West Virginia and The Homestead at Hot Springs and Warm Springs in Virginia.   Your guide will accompany your group on a driving tour of one day to the locations you desire.   Option of including the afternoon tea concert at The Greenbrier or ending with a soak in the mineral waters at The Jefferson Pools in Warm Springs.  

About your guide:  Raised in the Greenbrier Valley, with in-depth knowledge of all the local springs. A former staff member at the Woodrow Wilson House in Washington DC and a long term volunteer at Filoli Mansion in Woodside, California.  On the Board of Directors of the Pearl S. Buck Birthplace Foundation in WV, and works as the Public Affairs Officer for the local WV chapter of the American Red Cross.  Your guide is also a decendent of Anne Clendenin Rodgers, the survivor of the Clendenin Indian Massacre in 1763 during the French and Indian Wars and a nephew of the founder of the Greenbrier Historical Society in Lewisburg.

Number of people on tour is determined by the amount of people that can be accomodated in the vehicle provided (minus one seat for the guide) and winning bidder must provide the transportation for their family or group.  

Donor can provide a list of accommodations in the Greenbrier Valley, if needed.
