Item Description

Only a short drive to beautiful dairy country and Bonnie’s studio. Have a lovely afternoon with a delicious salad organic from the garden, home made scones, tea and wine. Bonnie will explain how she uses with her unique methods to create stunning glass platters, chandeliers, sculptures, and public art.  She created the 20’ long architectural glass sculpture that hangs at the University of Wisconsin, Student Center.  You’ll get to see the various tools, kilns, and equipment a glass studio requires.  She’ll show how glass is cut and layered and discuss why firing glass can be tricky, but the results worth the effort!  You will also see examples of the line of jewelry she created over the years for stores such as Saks Fifth Ave., Dayton’s Oval Room, Cedrics, and the Walker Art Center.

Then tour the grounds of the farm and her husband Peter’s organic vegetable garden. If you choose, visit the one of the best class A trout streams in Wisconsin, the Kinnickinnic River, bordering the property.

Be prepared for good food, art education, conversation, and laughs!
