Item Description
A two-night stay the Hyatt Regency Pier 66, a classic 60s property, in luxurious accommodations with breakfast each morning at the Mariner's and complimentary parking. The get-away also incudes a private, behind-the-scenes tour for two of the historic Bonnet House.
Experience breathtaking views of the shimmering Atlantic from your own private balcony, or enjoy a garden room overlooking our pool or marina. There is so much to discover at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66, an iconic mid 60s modernist landmark in South Florida, probably one of the most recognizable sites on its landscape. What began in the 1950s as a Phillips 66 fuel station for small boats on the Intracoastal Waterway is now a major resort and spa set amid lush tropical foliage. The property’s evolution has included a 100-room motel and a renowned club called Café 66, where top bands of the time, such as the Commodores, performed. The current trademark tower, complete with a revolving restaurant on top, a feature ahead of its time, went up in 1964. The retro-modern design of the Deluxe Lanai guestroom interiors reflects a distinctive architecture with clean lines and simple tranquility which complements the relationship between interior space and nature. Refreshing and serene colors create the backdrop for the natural wood, glass, and stone employed in the crafting of luxurious and spacious bathrooms, bedrooms, and furnishings.
A 35-acre oasis in the heart of the beach area, the Bonnet House stands as a tribute to the history of Old South Florida. The charming home was the winter residence of the late Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett, artists whose personal touches and small surprises are evident throughout. Whether you're interested in architecture, artwork, or the natural environment, this is a special place. Be on the lookout for playful monkeys swinging from trees, a source of amusement at even some of the most solemn weddings on the grounds.
