Item Description
A two-night stay in a Deluxe Guest Room at the historic and elegant King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
This historic King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, St. Simons Island combines southern hospitality and energetic pleasures in a setting acclaimed by guests since its opening as a dance club in 1935. Voted "Georgia's Favorite Beach Resort" by the readers of Southern Living, the renowned seaside retreat offers 198 guest rooms of which eighty percent offer picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean, and includes two and three bedroom villas, two specialty suites, and private homes. The recreational options are plentiful; challenging golf at the Resort's Hampton Club (designed by famed architect Joe Lee), bay and deep sea fishing, kayaking through tidal creeks, cycling through maritime forests and marshlands or sailing on the Intracoastal Waterway to watch dolphins at play.
The King and Prince Club opened for business in 1935 and was immediately praised for its modern features and magnificent ocean views. The hotel did its patriotic duty during World War II, serving as a naval coast-watching facility, and reopened in 1947 to resume its popularity as a beloved seaside resort with its gracious Mediterranean architecture. In 2003, the Resort’s main historic building underwent a stunning restoration and enhancement project, signaling a new era in the guest experience at The King and Prince.
