Item Description

One night each at both The Porches Inn in North Adams, and the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.  Driving to each of these elegant inns will take you through breathtaking scenery and charming towns in the Berkshires. The order in which hotel you stay first is up to you, but both nights must be concurrent.

You may want to start at the top, with a one-night stay at The Porches Inn, the Berkshire's ultra-savvy inn in North Adams, with a Continental Breakfast buffet served in the breakfast room or delivered to your room in the Porches' signature aluminum lunchbox.  Continue down south to the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, where you will enjoy an antique filled room featuring luxurious Italian bedding, feather duvets and Sealy Elite Plush mattresses as well as a full country breakfast for two. Both inn's have year-round heated pool and hot tub.

The Porches Inn, located adjacent to MASS MoCA in North Adams (less than an hour from Stockbridge) and which opened in July 2001, consists of seven renovated Victorian-era buildings that originally provided housing for the area’s mill workers. Porches’ guest rooms and public spaces employ a clever synthesis of retro and contemporary design. The inn’s 50 rooms and suites are fully wired, offering high-speed DSL internet access, dual phone lines, and complimentary DVDs.

The Red Lion Inn is one of the few remaining American inns in continuous use since the 18th century. As immortalized in Norman Rockwell's painting "Main Street, Stockbridge," the Inn epitomizes New England tradition. Relax amidst the charm of Staffordshire china, colonial pewter and eighteenth century furniture as well as almost every contemporary comfort you might wish for. Stockbridge and the Berkshires are rich in festivals of the performing arts, galleries of fine arts and antiques, fall foliage, golf courses, ski areas and woodland trails.
